First we removed all of the existing driveway. Then we put down a new crushed stone foundation. We built new red brick walls with Bluestone cappings on top.

For the patio itself we used Bluestone Slabs with 4x8 Ruby Onyx Cambridge paver border.

At each project we started by completely removing the existing old driveways and laying a fresh crushed stone base.

The first driveway has no border at all and smoothly transitions into the existing lawn. At the second one we installed new Belgian block border, while at the third, we preserved the existing border completely.

We finished all three driveway in the same way, with a 3 inches thick layer of wet asphalt that was consequently machine rolled down to be perfectly smooth.
